Which ergoPouch product should I choose?

From womb to world, ergoPouch has everything you need for uncomplicated newborn sleeping, from baby swaddles to bodysuits. Commonly referred to as the ‘fourth trimester’ your newborn will be sleeping around 16 hours a day in the first few months as their body grows rapidly, their brain develops and they learn a circadian rhythm. All babies are wonderfully different, and our newborn range caters to different sleeping styles, preferences and challenges whilst keeping your precious bundle safe, warm and comfortable.

It will depend on the age and development of your child. We have an ergoPouch product suitable for different stages, newborns right through to 6 years old. As a guide, we suggest choosing the following products:

Cocoon Swaddle Bag: For swaddled newborns and babies who are not yet rolling. Once rolling, suitable for arms-out sleeping by opening the arm-poppers at shoulders, through to age 12 months.

Jersey Bag: Slim fit sleeping bag for arms-out sleepers. The ideal first sleeping bag when coming out of a swaddle. Suitable from 3 months — 24 months.

Sheeting Bag: Roomy fit sleeping bag for arms-out sleepers. Ideal for older infants and toddlers from 3 months up.

Sleep Suit Bag: Convertible sleeping bag to sleep suit, for arms out sleepers. Suitable from age 3 months, but we recommend the Sleep Suit Bag once your little one is walking and up to 6 years old.

Sleep Onesie: A sleeping bag alternative for kids who don’t like a sleeping bag, or those ready to transition into a big bed, suitable for 6 months — 5 years.

Layers: TOG rated sleepwear to be worn underneath an ergoPouch swaddle, bag or suit for extra warmth. Choose long-sleeved or short-sleeved depending on the temperature. Sizes available for newborns — 2 years.

Bodywear: Light, organic ribbed singlets and bodysuits to wear as the layer that sits closest to your child’s skin. Use under PJs or in place of, depending on the weather. Age ranges newborn — 5 years.

You would choose the appropriate TOG rating of your chosen product, based on the temperature of your child’s sleeping environment.
